Although a little bit shaky at first cuz need to arrange the letters in as fine as possible way next is to determine where the numbers should be, once I placed the hot iron with (maximum heat) onto the nns, there is no turning back and fingers crossed hopefully the end product will end up satisfactory.

After a few rounds of pressing and turning the scrapped DIY cloth inside out to dissipate the heat, I peeled off the plastic and Lust

Then I turned the jersey inside out and continue to iron underneath the nns to make them last longer (with 2 dots of heat setting)... Now I'm a happy and addicted DIY jcs Very Happy

Good attempt to DIY your EPL namesets/badges..

One thing that can be improved is the placement for the EPL patches on the sleeves. Of course the general rule of thumb is to apply the patch 8cm-10cm above the sleeves, but if the jersey has the normal straight cut sleeves like the Man United 2002-2003 away kit... then you should follow the mathematical calculation that I explained in my how to apply EPL nameset/patches guide (click HERE) :

Spoiler:

It was already explained in the guide.. but anyway... to make things clearer:

1. Measure the sleeve length (example, it is w cm)

2. Measure the EPL patch's height (example, it is x cm)

3. Extract the difference (y) between the sleeve length and EPL patch: (w - x) = y

4. Obtain the height for the EPL patch from the end of the sleeve: (y / 2) = z

Therefore you should place the EPL patch z cm from the bottom of the sleeve. This makes the patch sit exactly in the middle of the sleeves.... But still, good job in the DIYing

Yikes.... didn't notice that, gosh no wonder it looked a bit weird on that area. Sweat However I did apply patches on the straight cut sleeves like the invisible kit before, maybe because of the 1st DIY nerves that has made me forgotten about it? Hmm

It's ok.. It's not wrong remember. because DIY is subjective... We learn always all the time...

As for my own DIY method on patches, i will wear the jersey and make a marking which position i would like the patches to apply at, so i will get the result that i am satisfied with, just my 2 cents Smile Smile , as Taiko's said, DIY is subjective, you do what you like, hehe

Yup.. you can use the method lit_ching suggested for long sleeve jerseys...

But if your jersey has straight cut sleeves (like the current man utd home/away/third), the best placement is the center of the sleeves.. That's my suggestion, up to you guys to follow or not

Most of my jerseys are SS unless GK kits which I have no choice as nowadays they only produced LS ... Dry Your method is proven to look good and much standardised IMO eventhough it is not a standard practice out there. I don't know others but I would definitely follow if it makes sense. Thanks again jerseyman for your valuable input and guidelines... Respect

yea, the way to find centre spot for such jerseys are pointed by Schmeichel7, but if u got shirts like the Aston Villa 0809 kits, or the Celtic away 0809 kits....there's no shoulder seam at all, so difficult to find the centre Tongue

For me, i wear M size and what i do for SS is, the gap between the patch and the sleeve (bottom) is roughly the size of 1 BPL patch. meaning i allign 1 patch from the sleeve, then i juz iron the patch on top of the "allignment" patch. the same is done on the other side, so with this "estimate", i avoid the use of any ruler Tongue at the end of the day, as long as it looks centre and both sides looked balanced, that's all matters (not too high, not too low). Of course, if u scared to screw up the measurement, ruler is still the best Laughing

haha thats not what i meant Sweat

my point is, if you lack ruler or other precise metric measurement items, you can use other ways of measuring Tongue i only do this for patch only coz its more subjective (different shirts have different sleeve length, cutting etc) but for NNS i still use ruler to maintain center line Smile

just like aligning the patches same level as the crest is... But if you watch the game you can notice that it varies so it depends on the sleeves as well.

Nice DIY bro, but that NN glue is not that strong, you need to really make sure it has bonded well. The last time I DIY-ed using this NN, it peeled off after a few days, had to iron it again.
